Brad Pitt plays Ludvig, their anxious, fearful but unshakably devoted companion who joins Reodor and Solan inside an old barn where the three men forge something impossible from scrap metal and junk, a hand-built, brass-riveted, gold-paneled race car called Il Tempo Gigante powered by an engine greater than the one that was stolen. Every visual in this HD concept trailer was designed and built by me to honor the warmth, humor, and heart of the original Flåklypa Grand Prix while transforming it into a grounded live action underdog story where a roaring junkyard machine pulls into the pit lane of a grand prix circuit like a relic from another century surrounded by sleek modern cars and professional teams, and Rudolf feels the cold recognition of his past catching up for the first time in his polished career. This Pinchcliffe Grand Prix concept trailer builds to a final lap where Il Tempo Gigante runs side by side with Rudolf's black machine in a battle between the man who created and the man who stole, and when the battered gold car crosses the line first it proves what Reodor always knew, that genius is not something you can take, only something you can build.
