Privacy Policy

Last updated: template — review with counsel before launch.
This is a starting template, not legal advice. Adapt it to your actual data practices and jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR/CCPA) before launch.

What we collect

Account information you provide (handle, display name, and — if you sign up that way — email address). If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google to create your account. We also store the content you create on YouToo (messages, club posts, fan-art links, bounties, reactions) and basic technical data needed to run the service (such as session cookies).

How we use it

To operate YouToo: to sign you in, show your content to the people you share it with, keep the service secure, respond to reports and feedback, and comply with the law. We don’t sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It’s essential to the service. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run YouToo (for example, our database and email providers) under appropriate safeguards, and when required by law. Embedded videos are served by their original platforms, which may set their own cookies when a video loads.

Your choices

You can edit or delete content you’ve posted, and request deletion of your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data; contact us through the feedback form to exercise them.

Retention & security

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.
