Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as the iconic presence that anchors the franchise to its roots, bringing weathered, imposing physicality to a role that reminds the audience where the war between man and machine began and why the face of the original Terminator still carries weight in a world where the machines have evolved far beyond chrome skulls and red eyes.
